Pictures of Softness

The new leaves of the scrub oak and the maples are as soft as a baby's bottom. Walking through them this morning, touching and marveling at their tenderness, I wondered if I could photograph softness. So I tried.

i see soft...but I cant be sure your suggestion has not influenced my experience ...the scrub oak, especially demonstrates softness....the maple's softness is overshadowed by its droopiness although softness is conveyed in the maple as well..or maybe the maple's softness is augmented by the soft rounded edges resulting from its droopiness..hhmmm

the droopy leaves will stiffen in a few days. amazing how they come from nowhere, seeming nowhere.

lets explore "seeming nowhere"...the idea that "something" being present in spite of my nearsightedness fascinates me....is there life beyond the end of my nose...most interesting idea I have had to work thru is that if I cant see "it" I better name..define....choose meaning for "it" cause I might not recognize it otherwise....certainly would be unable to accept "it" if I have not put my stamp of "knowing already-before I even experience it"...

they dont call me rambling rose for nothing......
