no ...much different with a photo of nature....I really do not appreciate the term "work of art"...now that you ask....I find a photo of nature more effective than a painting...I dont really see a work of art such as a painting as a representation of reality beyond the moment it was created and that response is weak at best... framed canvas slathered with paint etc...is a bit of a contrivance .....
But my affinity for creative movement is a completely different thing..it's related to its momentary, shifting, viscous, temporarily permanent access to personal reality...movement allows me to fix a response in the moment and then with passing timing, ongoing movement, all movement remains as fluid reality ...I see fluid response to moment as art working....art is not to be captured...but released....
most important response scoot....feelings of "getting into trouble" for expressing my observations....accessing this ongoing emotional fear has become easy and found safety as the result of my experience with UVU....and you know who you are........
And thats why beef with the latest movement discouraging people from pursuing college education...Yes, definitely spare the expense of continued education if the primary motivation for higher education is to get a job and you are unable to break loose from the ongoing business model of our educational system...
BUT...if/when the real purpose of life becomes self-discovery...upper level education is a great place to find and hone personal skills and desires to be a productive, contributing member of society...
and here's how education has worked for me....."art is not to be captured...but released...." I have learned to discern when less is more....art is not to capture but release......
i like these and the bumblebee... they are cute. here are also many bumblebees but not many normal bees anymore...they got a disease and get rare. ths good your flowerseries.

I'm fascinated with the intense emotional response I get when I see nature out of context....
I wonder why that is the case?
Does seem like the response you get when you look at a work of art?

and yes...an important part of my release of art is the freedom and honesty to contradict myself in moment's next
well, it's hard to argue with that!

we've had bees die off as well, but at least on our hillside there are still lots of them.
the bumblebees especially like these big penstemons.
